Vertical lines on plasma TV

Got a problem with my TV, it used to be intermittent, these would appear now and again but if you turned the TV off for a few secs they would disappear, now they seem to appear most of the time and turning off the TV doesn't seem to help.

Research on t'interweb says it might be "ribbons" might need refitting, not too confident in doing something like that myself, does anybody know if this going to cost a lot to have fixed?

It looks like it is ribbons not just refitting but cleaning as you get dust on the connectors.
I may be able to help pm me.

My 52 inch has for the past eight months had a single vertical line on the screen. it sometimes changes to two or three but never as many as that picture you have shown.
So how do you clean the ribbons?
