I need to move a car (4 wheel drive) from CW8 up to Inverness.

The car can start, and move, however not far as the rear diff has gone (gets hot after a few miles then catches fire after motorway runs, not doing that again).

I'm getting quotes to move it from around the £300 mark (which I think is quite cheap considering the distance).

I'd prefer to give the money to someone from here if they want the job.

I think £300 is more than fair, no problem with it, just prefer to give it to someone from here if they can do it at that price.

As folk have said, £300.00 is a good deal. About 8yrs ago I paid £200.00 to get my first Pinz brought up on a flat-bed from Ulverston, Cumberland to Ayrshire. A LONG way short of your distance. Go for it!

I know, I paid something similar to have it brought down from Inverness when I first bought it (it's sold to someone who knew it up there).

I'm not trying to get it cheaper, I think £300 is an excellent price, all I'm doing is seeing if anyone on here wants the job, at the same money.

I DID read what Dr said. It's quite clear. My post was purely put in as a price comparison. It's called "Trying to be of help".

If you read it you would see he knew he had a good price, he was seeing if someone on here could do it at the same price . . . helping local people etc

Lots of love from the Muppet xx
