My understanding was that Halfords would move into one of the new units and McDonalds would change the Halfords building into a drive thru - that was a couple of years ago though.
If that is true then the food outlet wouldn't be in the new units

Ikea? I haven't heard that one. Most likely place for a new Ikea would be down near Cheshire Oaks. Am pretty sure that's what was suggested in the local press last year. My hubs has done some surveys there on the new units and the word was that halfords will move to one of the new ones IF given a financial incentive, then maccies will knock down the old halfords building and make a drive through. I think one of the others is gonna be a 'next home', can't remember now, he told me ages ago!

No way are the new units big enough for Ikea, the original MFI building would have been cramped for Ikea. Double the size of MFI and they might look at the site, otherwise, no way. Two of the units have been let, two are still 'to let'.

I appreciate this is an old thread but I can confirm that M&S are recruiting internally for staff for a simply foods at Bidston Moss. August 2015 - expect an opening around Xmas..

I appreciate this is an old thread but I can confirm that M&S are recruiting internally for staff for a simply foods at Bidston Moss. August 2015 - expect an opening around Xmas.. Interesting, it doesn't meet the footprint that M&S have for their stores but I guess if the rent is cheap enough and the delivery lorries literally pass by their door then they must be giving it a go - perhaps there other stores agreed that we don't know of yet.

There were retail jobs advertised on one of the job sites for Bidston Moss. When you clicked the link to apply it took you to the Aldi website.
Not sure why they would be going there when they already have a site in Birkenhead tho

Aldi have plans to open lots of new store: we have one in Shrewsbury but we hear that we'll probably get another. Bidston is quite a long way from Birkenhead so will have a different catchment area.
