Has anyone else heard the rumours that Marks & Spencer may be building a new store in the Croft Retail Park, Bromborough?

Not sure where they'd put it though.

Next to ASDA?, it appears the Croft site is becoming what Birkenhead Grange road and Liscard centre should be like but happily leaving the so called town council back in the 1960's with expensive parking and thinking people will take the bus or walk to the dirty town centres.

According to this there is no plan for an M&S. There are a couple of units labelled that are not used yet.

M&S aren't building many more department stores. Not the big style, clothing stores anyhow. They're going more into on-line shopping.

That said, there are a few Simply Food stores in the pipe-line, one of which is supposed to be opening near Bidston.

I did hear about a Debenhams

Cheshire Oaks apparently...

Its going where First Choice and JJB used to be on the Coliseum Retail Park, next to Cheshire Oaks

They are currently expanding the building at the back, so should be open soon

Plans for a Bromborough store were knocked back, but M&S have reserved a unit on the Bidston Hill site by B&Q. Supposedly it'll be a relatively large store too.

Dunelm mil is building a new store next year, going to be on land between cinema and bingo, Also Nandos. I was there today signs up for H/M on the old comet store.
