what a dam shame the palm house and that never got kept. was in Belfast botanical gardens at easter the 1840's there palm house was built, its totally wonderful Victorian workmanship. made to last, great photos zip.

The palm houses were in the 2nd park if you were walking from Cole street as we were.My Dad used to take us there in the 1960's
there were two, always smelt wonderful I especially liked the Cacti House.It is such a shame they took the glass houses away.There was also a beautiful rose garden with lily ponds in the first park that too was taken out .Hope you have some pictures from that time Zipperclub
