Very recently bought & ran the car, then it froze up in latest cold snap - I didn't realise there was no anti-freeze, duh, my stupid fault!
Anyway, timing belt has jumped, so think valves/pistons have met - local garage reckon not economic to fix, hence recommend scrapping - anyone out there with ideas, please?

Get a second hand engine from the scrap yard. Prob loads cheaper than the alternative.

Fair idea - can anyone suggest scrappies that are likely to have a Citroen engine available?
(I don't really know the area very well - live in Chester but guess anywhere fairly local would be ok)

Its a pretty common car - grab the local rag and give a few a ring for prices / milages etc - some may even change the engine over for you quite reasonably.
