A young male appears to have been assaulted by a gang. However people seem to think that there is a second more serious incident being dealt with.

I know incidents such as this can sadly occur anywhere, but Caldy & West Kirby, really? ! I hope the person who was attacked is not seriously hurt

These are the sort of places that people do get shot
There have been criminals who have made money and then move to Wirral.
There was an incident not so long ago of a drug dealer shot.
You just don't know who lives next door!

There was an incident not so long ago of a drug dealer shot.
You just don't know who lives next door! It was actually quite a while ago, probably near on 10 years. Alleged drug dealer. He was a car dealer.

It happened not long after we moved just up the road from the incident in West Kirby from Yorkshire (having chosen WK above anywhere else on Wirral, and also rejected Liverpool, Chester and Wales). Great we thought, good choice there then - but we've never regretted it since - and it seems safe (as long as you don't go near the posh bits apparently ;))

A man, believed to be in his twenties, has been attacked at an exclusive property in Caldy Village this afternoon and armed police were called in to patrol the area.
A taxi driver who did not wish to be identified told Mersey Magazine he had seen Matrix vans in the area following the attack which happened late afternoon in Croft Drive West

A WIRRAL man has been charged with false imprisonment following an incident last weekend. Paul Winskill, 49, of Croft Drive West, Caldy, was arrested on Saturday and later charged. Officers were called to the area at around 4.30pm in response to concerns for the safety of a man. Winskill was remanded in custody and will appear at Wirral Magistrates’ Court this morning.
