I am reading 'The Colour' by Rose Tremaine. It is set in New Zealand in Victorian times and is the story of migrants from Norfolk starting a new life, who are abandoned by the father of the family when gold is discovered.

Have got three more of her books in paperback out at the moment and last month read one about a courtier in Charles 11 reign who falls out of favour.

A wonderful historical story teller and winner of the Whitbread Prize.

Its BossFan's Avatar, its only a .gif so I dont think there is any threat as image files dont hold malicious code, viruses, etc. Its the URL where the file is stored that flags up, prob just a spyware/spam/etc site.

He could so with downloading it and uploading it to an image hoster.

The Soldiers Wife- Joanna Trollope

About a soldier returning to family life after a 6 month tour in Afghanistan and the complexities that arise as he and his wife/ family try to readjust to his return.

A thought provoking novel.

The Riders by Tim Winton. It's about an Australian bloke who buys a derelict cottage in Ireland. His wife and young daughter are about to join him to start a new life. But it doesn't go quite right...

I am reading the Shira Calpurnia Omnibus called Enforcer by Matthew Farrer.

Good read so far I am through the first 2 of 3 books in this omnibus. A good Sci-fi read if you read books from the Black Library.

The Woman in Black by Susan Hill. I didn't get to see the film. Arthur Kipps, a junior solicitor, is summoned to attend the funeral Mrs Alice Drablow, the house's sole inhabitant of Eel Marsh House, unaware of the tragic secrets which lie hidden behind the shuttered windows.

Spitfire Girl- Lily Baxter.

Lily is the pen name for the well established and popular authoress Dilly Court.

Dillys books are all based in Victorian England, Lilys are based during Ww2. Love both historical eras-love all her books, don't even read the synopsis on the back cover anymore. If its Dilly/ Lily-its gonna be good!!!
