Are the bars that connect the gearbox to the gear lever on correctly?

Or whatever the 307's have as a gear linkage, on my 106 it has 2 bars, each one moves the gears into gear.

As far as i can see and hear the gear linkage is in correct, gear stick moves into all gears and can hear them going in. Thanks

Clicky

Correct alignment of the clutch is frequently ignored. If clutches have not been correctly aligned, they will start juddering or fail to engage.

Thanks for the info burger, had a quick look at that, you know when you put your car in gear to stop it rolling when parked up? i can put the gears in and they sound like they have gone in, but when pushing it forward it fails to lock in and continues to roll. Could that still be the clutch alignment?

I think it may be.
Was gear box fine before you changed clutch.
Have the gear stick linkeages gone back on gearbox properly, I remember when i changed a clutch on a polo many many years ago, and i did not align clutch, i had same problem, i was not happy, but instead of ficxing it, i just pushed it down the road at night and dumped it lol.

could be wrong drive plate, did you match it to the old unit before you put it in ? it may have a slightly larger centre hole which would cause you loss of drive. good luck.

Did you compare new clutch to the old one before putting it in and was the plate the right way round too.

I think the gearchange is cable operated isnt it not rods so make sure all the cables are operating the linkages correctly

If it feels and sounds like you are selecting the gears, but the drive isnt being transferred from engine to box (and that you can put the car in gear and you can still move it) suggests that its the wrong clutch.

Alignment of the clutch should be a problem - if its not aligned, you wont be able to get the box back on wink

Turn's out I was supplied with the wrong clutch. I used an online website to buy the clutch, the website asked for my car reg and gave me a list of 3 clutches, i brought the most expensive. Now fighting for an exchange, and it's not proving easy. What a joke.

I dont think you will get refund, they never supplied wrong clutch, you picked wrong clutch, as you say your self they gave you 3 choices, you picked wrong one, am sure there would of been a helpline phone number on web site, and advice in small print saying its you job to make sure you pick right one.
