OP Chopper1979 Enthusiast Joined: Feb 2012 Posts: 117 Wirral	Got a 1.8lx mondeo petrol. Was thinking of selling but will not get much for it- therefore is is easy enough to replace the 1.8 petrol with a 2.5 v6 petrol from another mondeo. If so any idea of the cost of fitting- recommened garages? Anything you would think I would have to change- uprated shocks or brakes etc. I am not a mechanic and will appreciate any advice given. You can pick mondeos up for buttons these days. If you are after a quick one get the turbo diesel, they are rapid, the one with the 6 speed box that is. To do the engine swap you would have to... Change wiring loom ECU brakes clutch driveshafts exhaust/CAT air flow meter the list goes on, just buy one mate and save yourself a lot of time and money. Putin khuilo
