Watching the news last night and saw the Lazer Light show in Preston featured, jogged my memory! anyone know if the 'planned' event of a huge water spout, to mark the olympic year, in Birkenhead docks is going ahead?
I know there was a competion, of sorts where various projects were proposed, this one and was given funding to facilitate the instilation, but I haven't heard any more about it, and wondered if anyone on here had any information.

People ask about this every year or so. After the initial flurry of excitement it seemed to die a quiet death.
I reckon the powers to be had second thoughts about the wisdom of creating a fountain of vapour using the water from the rancid lake next to a sewage plant with the consequences for public health that would ensue, but maybe that's just me.
