Someone has just been trying the back door of our house, obviously the doors are locked, ran out to check and they ran through the gardens.

Just make sure you lock all doors and windows in the area.

I advise having a weapon to beat ten kinds of crap out of them, the police won`t mind, don`t worry about that, sooner we get through to this ... the better.
Shame our front door was locked and i couldn`t find my keys in time

That's really bad - we had ours broken into whilst we were at home and also it was about 7 in the evening but didn't realise what had happened until about midnight when we were looking for phones etc but then thought back to earlier and realised we had both heard a noise in the conservatory/kitchen and called the police. it was really scarey esp as we had the kids in the house. Good job our dog was upstairs at the time and never made it to the back door in time - it was a windy night and we thought she was being paranoid due to the wind but obviously not. You can't be too careful so please everyone keep doors locked!!

Police are here now, they have already been informed twice & are looking for a suspect!

I learnt my lesson when we got broke into early hours of the morning a year last november,keep everything locked got a baseball bat & another akita

Fingers crossed Ste. They were really good with us when it happened, fast response and then CID half an hour later - just what you need in the early hours when you have work the next morn! Hope you and yours are OK and not too shook up - just remember there are more good people out there than bad - it was just a chancer and he will get his cumuppance

We never got an Akita but we do keep doors locked - even in the summer, kids can't understand why as we didn't tell them, especially our daughter, you can't be too careful.

The police said they have had more than one phone call and are surching the area

That`s really bad Ste and Sarah it`s probably a good thing you couldn`t get out in time tho ,stupid law`s and all that ,it would of been you in trouble and not them

Quite agree - although there are things you would like to do to the ... - it is prob a good idea you never caught them. They could have easily had a knife or something. Decent folk never get away with anything and the law always seems to come down on the scums side.
