Been in and out of the cruisng scene for a while, focusing mostly on this conversion.

She currently sits at 270bhp running on 21psi. She pretty meaty!

Not going to re-connect the Nitrous, think that'll be bit of an overkill.

Reason I did not want to add the rest of the RS look (arches etc.) is coz this is all down to weight...plus, compared to most modified Focus's, which basically look like mine, this is a type of sleeper! mwahahaha!

Already been featured again by Fast Ford, Performance Ford, Motor Magazine and Fast Car. Should be on Performance Ford cover of next month...(well, November issue)

Just so that its clear, b4 ppl start accusing me, I am not making this out to being the ONLY BLACK RS, but the ONLY RS POWERED FOCUS IN PANTHER BLACK. Simple as!

I have basically saved £12k on buying an actual RS, and I have the benefit of having more power, keeping my car that I worked so hard on, and having it in BLACK! laugh

Anywayz, anything new with any1 else???

and a plaque to put in the engine bay...

which reads...

With 4501 Focus RS models built, only 2147 were actually sold in the United Kingdom. Most were sold to careful owners and collectors who take pleasure in maintaining the status and originality of this rare edition of the Ford RS line.

The Focus RS was available in one colour only, Ford Racing Blue. But before it went into production, Panther Black and Diamond White versions were used in its development. These cars known as “test mules”, were tested by world renowned racing drivers Francois Delecourt and Colin McRae.

The only Panther Black issued RS was a genuine scratch built development car, completely different to the ST170 and basic Focus structures. It was built with near all the parts the Focus RS consists of today.

Its registration was X926 YOO, which was either sold for a substantial sum to a private collector, or like the fate of the others was destroyed once the developing tests were completed.

My Focus

This is NOT a genuine Focus RS, however all key parts were harvested out of a damaged RS in order to convert a basic Focus into a unique, one of a kind Focus RS.
Out of 4501 made, this is the only road going RS powered Focus in the country, in Panther Black…

Yup, but technically I've only had it on the road running well (touch wood) for about 5 weeks. As for the rest of the 10 weeks I've had it back, I've been dealing and fixing teathing problems.

She really does fly...managed 155mph (and the clock only says 160) the other week...pretty chuffed.

Time to start the old weight loss programme on the Focus me thinks! LOL

cheers again ppl, but unfortunately I no longer have any spare bits off the RS. As you can see in the pics of the RS itself, it was in a pretty bad state!

I think I'm on the November issue (out on the 7th Oct) cover of Performance Ford, so check it out! smile

It has the complete front end of the RS, including the awsome Quaife diff...so the fact I have 17's make no difference, coz they don't spin much on the drag line! mwahahaha! LOL

And no, the rear lights I had imported from the states, so these are staying for a bit! smile

How does said diff behave cos i remember all the reviewers gave it contradictory reports, some said its mint wheras some said it make "on-the-edge" driving dangerous as hell
