I am looking for a photograph of the `No to Polaris' paint/graffiti that used to be on Cammell Lairds shipyard wall. Anyone know anyone or where I might get a photo of this?

Did you mean "PEOPLE NOT POLARIS" that was painted at the top of Argyle Street?

Do you mean "Houses not Polaris" painted on the wall at the end of Hinderton Road as it turns towards Argyle Street?

Thanks for notes about other painting/slogans elsewhere but it was Deffo the wall at Cammell Lairds is the one that i am after. I felt it was there for years?

Sorry no photo, newspaper clip from Feb 25th 1967, just an idea if its that important, have a look at the Birkenhead News they have at Wirral archives around that time.

I think 'CRUISE OUT' was painted on the wall in Chester Street, underneath the (now demolished) railway bridge. Is this the same one you were thinking of?
It wasn't long before the words 'Fly Back' were appended, in a parady of a travel agents advertising slogan.
