finally after years of sanding, i have finished my bootlid! its 95% complete now just need to spray the inside, did a small mock up for ya

have ordered my fiberglass arches to re-do the front as i would never get the perfect finish with the injection plastic ones! just pricing up what my total cost is so far and what it will have cost when it should be on the road...........

Spent so far…

1989 Mini city off ebay – 900
clear front side repeaters – 10
non-genuine sportspack arches – 50
non-genuine fiberglass sportspack arches – 60
2 piece fiberglass front with hinges, brace bars – 290
rear powder coated beam axle – 150
rear coilovers – 60
non-genuine righthand tank – 110
pair of new front outer cv joints with bearings – 50
stainless steel bumpers 2 – 50
chrome plated bumper (bought first but decide to go stainless!) – 17.50
real carbon fiber matting for custom dash – 30
polyester resin kit for making door cards and dash – 80
carbon mirrors - 80

total – 1937.50!!!

plus extra for primer so around 2000

still to come….
Spray job – around 1000 – 1500
Polybushes all round – 70
Front coilovers – 250
Brake improvement kit front and rear – 100
Heavy duty adjustable bottom arms and tie rods – 80
13 x 7 deep dish ultralite alloys with yoko rubber – 450
6 point rollcage – 180
cobra Monaco bucket seats – 300
snap off steering wheel – 80
med trackday engine – 2300
twin hs4 su carbs - 400
plus many finishing extras – around 500 – 1500


so total for my mini bits to come – 7210!!!!!!

Complete total – 9290 otr

This is just a rough estimate of what it will cost to have my mini on the road so looks like I won’t be done for a year or two!

yeah i try not to think how much it will cost as it will probabily be more! but the best stuff always costs more

Was in my garage today and i still have mini parts if you are interested.

Roll cage
wheels

also dazza my (not 100% sure) have a turbo and bits for a mini.

Magnesium are in the way will be very cheap you name the price.

There are others there aswell.

this week..........
bought something! got bored of doing small jobs so bought a ally sump guard. tis really shiny as the pics show! won't be fitting it for a while though

started work on my carbon doorcards.initally i use a clear gel coat but it turned too yellow so sanded back some of it and laquered it.

and of course with the snow today meant i couldn't work on it so went and built a snowman! i know i'm still a kid! lol

that snowman is class....so is the car. its comin on nicely, should look really nice when its finished. i've got a bit of a soft spot for old minis, i think they are very very nice.

laugh laugh Lookin good Stu, do you know that you have to drill holes in the subframe to fit the sump guard...i also wanted on ebut decided against it for that reason

yeah, already drilled hole for my front flip hinges, so what har will a few more do! just have to make sure i hammerite it well.....
