I've decided to SORN my Hyundai Coupe due to lots of work needing to be done for MOT. The day before I decided to do this I put £55 worth of fuel in it!
I've tried syphon the fuel out to put in my new runner but it doesn't seem to be getting down to the fuel level, about a metre of hose does fit in though so it may not have a syphon preventer system.
Any clues??

I had same problem a while back when i had to empty mine, the way i did it was,
Locate fuel pipe under bonnet, undo clip put pipe in petrol can, then locate fuel pump, run live wire from battery to + on fuel pump making sure you disconnect original +wire on pump, as soon as can is full, take wire off battery, tip petrol in to other car, and repeat.

Would I have been able to get the metre length of hose in if it had the anti syphon?

The fuel pump and electrics solution frightens the life out of me!! lol

Willo might be a relative of Guy Fawkes, disconnect your battery leads and forget the battery unless you want to be a potential fireball. Find the return fuel lead and disconnect it at a convenient place along the line. The scrotes with the motorbikes and no-money seem to manage without a problem.

If you have a locking petrol cap you should not have an anti syphon
plug it would not be needed.

I have to disagree there, most, if not all, cars have anti syphoning devices fitted and have done since about the mid 80's

Remove the fuel return hose from the fuel rail, and attach a pipe to the nipple on the rail where you removed the return hose. Then run the attached pipe to a jerry can and run the engine.

The car will tick over and all the fuel that would have gone back to the tank will now end up in the jerry can wink
