RIVER MERSEY BODY IDENTIFIED
Merseyside Police can confirm that the body of a man found in the River Mersey on Tuesday of this week , has now been identified as a 33-year-old foreign national.
The man’s body was washed up on the beach at the bottom of Caithness Drive, Wallasey, at around half past ten in the morning
Efforts are currently underway to trace the relatives of the deceased.

A post mortem has been carried out and the cause of death is being withheld pending toxicology.

A file is being prepared for the coroner
