forum guardian is just a name given to you when you reach a certain amount of posts. Not actually guarding the forum, that job comes under Moderators Can someone post the other names for different amounts of posts please

in response to the actual question, to get the gps working you need to go to blackberry app world and download the gpslogger app for it to work

in response to the actual question, to get the gps working you need to go to blackberry app world and download the gpslogger app for it to work Sorry Tony but the only way she's going to get GPS on her Blackberry is by getting another Blackberry. Hers doesn't have a receiver, I did answer the question just prior to being called a knob.

Sorry but you can download an app to make it work, and also you can connect with bluetooth to a Mac Desktop. Turn on your BB bluetooth and find the Mac computer and pair to it. Then go to BB options and Advanced settings>Location settings> and turn on all location options, in the top it will show the Mac computer you connected to leave it like that. then go to facebook app or other GPS app like BB protect and it will show your cell phone location...

Presumably we're talking cell tower triangulation here and not GPS?
The 8520 does NOT have built in GPS so there is absolutely no way of 'getting GPS to work'.

Really does it matter they work on the same lines. the member is asking how he/she can sign into facebook places. So as long as we can get it sorted for them who cares weather It's GPS or Triangulation.. http://forums.crackberry.com/showthread.php?t=557870

Hi all
Can any1 give me a clue on how to get my GPS to work ... and although I may be classed as arsey or pedantic or whatever, all I did was answer the question posed. Nobody is just being a knob. Rather than point out the mistake that has happened to us all, he`d rather ridicule them!
To be confronted with this. I wouldn't want a member checking into Facebook places and being convinced her GPS was now working, when it's not.
