Ok so am posting this on behalf of a very good charity,

BOXER RESCUE LIVERPOOL

They are facing closure due to ever increasing debt and lack of funding.

Please read their story and please please help.....

Firstly i would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to the amount of support we have recieved since last night. I really wasnt expecting everyone to pull together like you all have and it is very much appreciated and is getting us on our way to get things sorted in hope of us being able to re-open sooner rather than later (or never).

As you are all aware by now, we are completely burnt out as a team. Our mission has always been to support, and sanely rehome any boxer who needed us, but at the moment the task is just too great for us alone.

Link here for those not aware:

http://z7.invisionfree.com/boxerrescueliverpool/index.php?showtopic=2087&st=0

We have asked, possibly with less urgency than we have felt, for your support over the past few months, but now is the time for us to lay our cards on the table. This rescue is in dire need, and is in danger of ceasing to exist altogether if we don't clear our debts. Our kennels - Pendellas dogtel, our vets - Alder Veterinary Surgery and our volunteers have thus far carried us further than we could ever have dreamed of when we began this rescue effort. But now we face the terrible reality that not only will our rescue stop functioning, we will also struggle to help the ones we currently have in our care who may at one point need vet care etc. Yes, we know, there are those of you who will be saying we have overstretched ourselves, and that may well be true, but we struggle to say no to one of our own when they need us, and we're here now, with all of our wonderful dogs, wondering what we do next.

This isn't an appeal for twenty pounds, or ten, or five. This is the boxers we love and support asking you for just £1 or £2. If every supporter on here could find it in their heart to paypal just £1 or £2 (the cost of a cheeseburger, a magazine, a bus ride) then we can start clearing our debts and carry on with the vital work of finding the best forever homes for our gang of gorgeous boxers. We've created a debt clearing plan, and we need to show our kennels and vets the same level of commitment that they have shown us in this tough financial climate

No-one is born with the life plan that eventually they will end up running a rescue, no-one walks into this knowing what to do, or how best to do it. We fall into this because there is a need for it, and because we cannot bear to see the breed we adore dumped like so much rubbish. Whilst it pains us, we will remain closed to new dogs until a substantial portion of our debt is cleared, not because we want to, but because the dogs already in our care need us to focus on them. Don't forget them, they may seem 'safe' to you now, not like the poundies or the emergencies or the 'in danger of being PTS' dogs, but whilst we cherish them, and want the best for them, we cannot create chances for future boxers until we have secured safe havens for those we have now.

We're keeping this short, it's two quid. Not even a bottle of wine, not even a pizza, not even a bag of dog food. For those of you with a boxer curled up by your feet this second, remind yourself how lucky you are to have them, by giving just two quid to those not so lucky, and help give them that chance. That chance that one day soon they will be at the feet of someone who adores them as much as you adore your dog.

THANK YOU xxx
From us all at BRL

You need to make it a bit more official than this...

Signing up on a forum, putting a live.com paypal address and some bank details for people to transfer money into is weird.

The account name means nothing, this could be anyone!?

They are very legitimate, if you google them they come up on a lot of searches. Their website address is http://www.boxerrescueliverpool.webs.com/

If you are unsure please feel free to get in touch with them. They have saved and rehomed lots of dogs, not just boxers. I am unsure of the donation required for taking a rescue, if you get in touch with Nicki she will be able to advise.

Sadly it sounds as though this animal rescue centre is dead in the water.

Any donations that people may have would be better sent to somewhere where it will be spent on the animals welfare, and not the servicing of outstanding debts due to missmanagement, the same which could occur again shortly down the line.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but reality usually does.
