Ahh right,that makes it even stranger as to how it got there. It was a fair way out Bezzy, we only spotted it with the bins at first.

We thought that too about the equip'. Yes it was flippin cold! Stu and I went. Great day for spotting twitchers! Couldn't believe the gear some of them turned up with. Thought some were taking themselves far too seriously - camo gear on a sea wall?
Bit disappointed the water didn't get higher - we were expecting it to be lapping up against the wall. I was also disappointed there was no plague of rats running away from the marsh.
It was bl**dy freezing so we left about 12.45.

Whenever there is a flood of any sort anywhere in the country why does there always have to be a smug git in a canoe paddling along in it.

Thanks for all the pictures people - glad to see some of you made it there and as one poster mentioned the tides are due in again on March 19th-21st .... fingers crossed for slightly better/more condusive weather conditions.
A few people managed to see a hare swimming whilst others saw a few harvest mice but not the big mammal exodus that we saw last year
