Life was so simple in the 50s. For the few who's parents could afford it there was the chance to go to univerity if they had passed the 11plus and had progressed well since then. {no such thing as Uni in those days}the rest left school at 15 or 16 and got a job.

I hope people are aware that, in my opinion, that the Government, the police and the BBC completely control what you needed to see, to control your opinions about the "rioters". Government and police 'agents' will often infiltrate these rallies to stare up trouble. That way it takes the limelight off the disastrous tution fee hike that has come in. The police even allowed royalty to be attacked to also show the "riots" in a bad light. There are images all over the news of the police who were hurt but did anyone see pictures of the young student with severe head injuries? Not fookin lightly. They even show baracades and fire raging around the Winston Churchill statue to highlight those bad students.

Its all about public opinion - and sadly the powers that be control it.

Shame they didn't do the rioting in 2004 when Bliar and Brown pulled ladders up on free university education for the kids, the NUS has an up and coming guy in charge and is a wanna be Liebour MP,the future for him is rosy, the future for the kids is costly, his gathering of the masses credentials is now 10 out of 10,the kids are being used by the Liebour politicians, their intentions is to tax you for the privilege until you retire,

Seen from abroad, pictures are superb, the comments well are in English, I think.

BBC news these days is like propaganda in years gone by - they tell us only what they want us to know and to say it is biased most of the time is an understatement

Sky are 'hysterical' to watch. This one reporter said whilst the camera was filming the crowd smashing up the court. 'its getting dangerous, i'll have to put headgear on'.
He then comes into view and his headgear? A cotton black cap! raftl

It makes me laugh when I see a "rioter" smashing a window surrounded by an army of journalists, all pushing and shoving to take or film pictures! camera no

I'd like to know who does the 'Breaking News' alerts. They're amusing too, if taken out of context, especially.

Paul - if you really believe that then you have my deepest sympathy. What you say is totally unfounded.

Sales of tin foil will be on their way through the roof soon - so many people will be needing them for hats and to cover their walls smack

I think the students will be old news and forgotton soon, the new enemy will be Climate change or the New World Order or the UN same things, they are expecting all of us to pay green taxes to save us from climate, the scam appears to be finalised at the Mexican Holiday resort of Cancun, just think of the taxpayers money they would have saved if they had used Blackpool, our beloved leaders of the three tribes have deeply involved us in this scam and are now expecting us to pay.

Just for interest

Shame nobody's invented a way for people to have a conference online, no matter where you are in the world - that would save the governments a lot of money in travel expenses.

There's a gap in the market there raftl

But how would our beloved leaders friends be able to fly first class to spend time at a holiday resort in a £1000 a night room and gorge themselves silly at the taxpayers expense,if all that was needed was a video conference call setup costing a few pounds, shame on you for thinking up such things. laugh

Poor Camilla, jabbed in the ribs with a stick. Security kept her calm with sugar lumps and a gentle pat on the nose.
