I've a small welding job to do on my neighbours Hyundai Santa Fe.
(Towing Bracket beef-up). I understand that under some circumstances, you can really duff up the car's electronics with arc welding if you don't disconnect both legs of the battery. The radio code will go down the Swannee but that can be re-entered OK. Are there any other pitfalls or possible items to get zapped - even with the battery out of circuit? Wondering if you need to disconnect the alternator connections, or is that going a bit OTT ?
