The Malpas Vintage Machinery Association Ltd was founded in 1971 by a small group of vintage tractor and steam engine enthusiasts.

The first Malpas Yesteryear Rally was held in 1972 and is now held annually on the second weekend after the August Bank Holiday.

This years rally will be held on the 11th & 12th September 2010.


You can find us at Hampton, Malpas, Cheshire. Alongside the A41, fourteen miles south of Chester, six miles north of Whitchurch, Shropshire. Post Code SY14 8JN.

There are about a thousand exhibits including:

* 60 Pedal Cycles

* Large Model Tent With A Model Boat Pool
* Craft Marquee
* 100 Trade And Auto Jumble Stands
* Variety Of Catering Outlets

There is also an old time fairground and other family entertainments. Plenty for all the family to see and enjoy.

Gate prices Adult £8, Seniors £7, Children £3, under 5 free. Family ticket £20.

Dogs welcome on leads.

Very cool day out peeps

Been many times over the years, even taken an exibit or two. Not going this year due to one thing or another.
There is a smaller gathering of traction engines at Bishops Castle in Shropshire in a couple of weeks and there is the transport wotsit in Birkenhead very soon. I think at the latter they where trying to get some more exibits that worked in the area in days gone by, not sure if they had any look though !.

Just come back, havent been for years, great afternoon out. Loads to see and do, my missus says that the troop carrier FOR SALE wouldnt fit in the drive, i beg to differ!!!!
Steam, classic cars, mini locos, commercials, agricultural and trade/craft stalls. Too much for me. Took the camera but forgot to use it!!!! Have to get my two mobile workshops down there next year.

Found out I am going to a flower show at Harrogate on Friday 17th and to the Vale vintage machinery steam and country show at the Rhug Corwen on Saturday 18th Sept so I will enjoy that and enjoy it even more if the cheese guy from Windsors of Whitchurch is there as 1kg of Cheshire cheese is £4.89p,Chedder is about £5.68 a kilo mmmmmmm drool but then at Harrogate if the guy from the same area with his Rhubarb and Chilli chutney is there then mmmm .

went to this today,was a good day out.now i really want a land rover 101 fc!!!
