I am asking on behalf of someone else, he told me it was on the front in new brighton , the building is still there its the one that has a conservatory on it think its called the queens. He said he met his wife there 45 years ago.

How many of you remember the clubs in New Brighton during the early 60's. Here is a picture of the Kraal Club sent in by Lesley Swift.
The Kraal competed with many other clubs such as The Toledo. The Defiants played there along with other famous merseyside bands at the time.
Can't remember a club called Toledo (that competed with the Kraal), apart from a small none drinking one in Egerton/Mason street which was under the Crackers club. Lots of us kids used to go there in the early sixties.
