Hi,

I wondered if anyone on here can assist me with a bit of research. I'm looking to map any caves that are in existence in Wirral and west Cheshire. It's part of a bit of research in landscape archaeology but it's surprising how much local knowledge is considerably better than in books.

If you could list any that you know of, I'd be hugely appreciative.

Thanks,

Dean

New Brighton
A friend tells me that there used to be a tunnel he went in in the 50s the entrance to which was by the Red Nose rocks by the sunken car park New Brighton
He says it was eventually blocked off with rocks and cement

also Yellow Noses to the entrance in the guys' garden

This is my fairly well known engraving of what I assume is the Red Noses, before reclamation almost covered them.Is it dateable?

Would that be Rock Villa in the background?
