Unless it supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n you won't be able to connect to a wireless network. However, you will be able to connect to the internet via GSM EDGE or HSDPA (provided you've credit).

Unlikely, but if you post the model number I'll have a look to see if it supports IEEE 802.11 (aka wireless and wifi).

The O2 Mobile Dongles CAN be used to connect to a Home or Work Wireless Network.

I used one quite recently when a built in wireless card failed on a pc i was repairing

Bit of advice, if you have a spare PCI slot in your tower, get a wireless card not a wireless dongle. There are much fewer problems with cards and much better range. The cards come quite cheap, bought mine on ebay for £8 secondhand ages ago.

The same sort of thing with laptops, use a PCMCIA device rather than a wireless dongle.

I have ignored this advice to my cost in the past, once you get up to WPA or better still WPA2 encryption, there can be problems with dongles.
