Hmmm, I wonder how a strip car would cope on a circuit?
Looks like fun.
Where does all this happen?

One bolt and a couple of pipe fittings... Few ounces at most..
This was a case of temporary insanity, I was so desparate for the parts to finish the job, I asked him to send them expedited..
Guess he went out and chartered a seat on a jumbo. Dont know how I'm going to explain this to the missus... Reckon it's beans on toast all next week for me.

I'll post pics of the bits when I get them (no laughing now!)

It's getting better !!!!
Another £22.10 customs charge....
Running total £77.10 for nowt !!

Things are pretty slow here. Managed to get a manifold fitting from a company in deeside. Now just waiting on a crank bolt (again)..

Just to keep this post alive, thought I would attach some pics of what came out of the car (except the bit's pic - they need to go back), I know the other petrol heads out there will take a look.

They need no introduction, and when I advertised on ebay they were all snapped up and deposit left within just hours.

Well here ya go!

Thought I would post some pics (sorry about poor images) I will have to dig out the camera instruction manual to find out how to manually focus.
Any how.

Pic 1. The infamous crank bolt..... The one on the left is the original from the old engine. Turned out to be too short for the racing damper. Contacted the builder to send proper one, after paying a small fortune for expedited shipping, I got the one one the right...Where's my shotgun!!! Still waiting for a bolt.

Pic 2. Received my liquid filled fuel regulator. The stocker just not up to the job of looking after my BIGGER injectors..

Pic 3. You've guessed it, need a "booster" fuel pump to look after the fuel regulator that feed my BIGGER injectors...

Pic 4. Here is my add on computer to make sure that I don't grenade my engine when the nitrous finds it's way to my BIGGER injectors...

Pic 5. Here we have a warmer to keep my bottle warm and toasty ready to feed more protien to my BIGGER injectors.

Pic 6. And finally here is a remote bottle opener.. I'm a lazy sod, I dont like getting out of my car to feed my BIGGER injectors....

Footnote 1. Wish I never bought effin BIGGER injectors.

Footnote 2. Why the hell do we do such things - the missus thinks I'm crazy - the kids wish I'd buy food to feed them!!!

Footnote 3. Guidance & Counselling required- the plot getting lost fast !!!

After many months of causing me pain - the crank bolt is here.

Spacer for crank bolt - ready tomorrow morning - thanks to McManus Precision Engineering Wallasey.

So all going well work should resume next week.

Looking forward to getting my car back, and getting to some meets as well.

Hope no more snags - fingers crossed................

Thought I would post some more pic's -

S'pose I'm just in a good mood because things are coming together smile

Pics 2 and on are stock photo's (batteries just died in camera)

OK

Pic 1 These are the 42lb injectors I needed to add more greenhouse gasses to the atmosphere..

Pic 2 Here is my after market ignition, the stocker can't cope with the higher compression ratio, just snuffs out the spark. Besides, need a strong spark for when the bottle gets turned on.

Pic 3 This allows me to advance / retard the timing on the fly form the drivers seat.

Pic 4 Here is the purge kit for the nitrous set up. Not a Fast & Furious gimmick or just for show. Last thing you want is a vapour lock.

Pic 5 This will be fun to set up and get right. Here we have my traction control window switch.

Will post more pics if anyone's interested..

THINGS COMING TOGETHER

Pic 1 Spacer hot off the press, well err! - lathe.. Fitted a treat

Pic 2 Engine in, just accessories and minor bits to go on.. Engine bay looking pretty cramped.

Pic 3 MSD Ingnition goodie bolted in.

Pic 4 MSD timing control.. If you look close you can just pick out the "lean shut down switch" installed just next to it. It's pretty dark so I've put a stock photo up.

The car was going back on the ramp this morning, so should see good progress.

Here's an update.
Things are moving pretty well. My nice new engine practically hidden behind a mass of cables, pipes and hoses.

Didn't realise how dirty my engine bay is... Need to get that cleaned up.

Any how here's some pics.

Pic 1. Accessory bracket is in, so is the alternator, steering pump, air con and EGR pump.

Pic 2. Valve covers on, long tube hedders in, over valve covers ignition kit (nearly) done. - Wiper motor still to be tucked under the dash.

Pic 3. Ignition leads to be routed to distributer - tucked right behind the water pump....

Pic 4. Panoramic view, I've painted numbers next to itemss..

1. Nitrous traction control window.

2. Nitrous computer management unit.

3. Nitrous purge unit.

4. Timing control unit.

5. Ignition booster.

Thats it for now. Will post more soon.
