You can get them in blue ![[Linked Image]](http://i5.ebayimg.com/03/i/03/f1/eb/67_2.JPG) The intake will be getting altered soon anyway - the new ECU does away with the MAF sensor, so Ill need to redesign the filter to turbo intake pipe

Thats probably a bad idea though i spose if you want to keep your turbo blades from getting sucked into your engine. Have you seen the filters they put on the YB's directly onto the turbo itself? Or maybe you could make something with a cold air feed built in?

You might get away with a filter on a N/A car matey, but on a turbo'd car Something as small as a single grit of sand can knacker the blades if it hit them when the turbo was at full chat

Never knew that, seems like turbos are ultra sensitive, have they dropped in price yet? (new turbos)

I'm still wondering about the ECU not needing a MAF sensor Does the ECU you're getting have some other way of working out the air intake etc, like a MAP sensor, or does it work using some sort of chip with a built in ptc resistor?

On hot wire MAF sensors, you get a build up of dirt if you use cheap air filters. This sticks to the sensing wire element and looks like it's growing hairs. Technically it shouldn't happen as the wire gets that hot, it should burn off any debris that lands on it.

(new turbos) I wouldnt say they where ultra sensitive, they can handle some abuse, especially if you consider some of the rotational forced they go through and sudden speed increase and decreases, aswell as the pressures they take, but if you where spinning around at 80,000 rpm and someone threw a tiny stone at you, youd shatter and break into pieces and get sucked into the engine aswell!
