Oldwirral.com is a new site for me found off another thread on here. There is an old photo of the tunnels in a better state of repair on the address at the start of this post.Loads of good stuff on this site.

Page two and three show the results of wiki with photo's off this thread but the first page photo maybe new to some enthusiasts of this subject

Envious....I would love to do some exploration to further this subject but I think any attempts to do so should be on the QT and with purpose to find more answers to the unknown parts of the complex.

Somebody somewhere must have taken a photo or two of the tunnels in use!

As a kid my friends used to always go inside the tunnels but i was always to afraid (scardy Kat!) and would wait outside. I was so fasinated with the storys and descriptions they used to give me and have always wondered what they look like inside.

I have found this thread so interesting and the pictures are wicked! Thanks guys

Just been to the entrance there is no more tunnels ever by the looks of things they have cemented it proper this time
