Upon visitin a well known website earlier last year i found to my amazement there were several places of interest underneath greater manchesters streets that we know of today.

Take a look at these links for example...

I'll be suggesting a visit to the Stockport tunnels later in the year. Well worth a visit, but not exactly UE.

Caught the tail end of something on th TV either last night or the night before saying they were going to look at Underground Manchester.

I think it was for next week around the 6:30 news time, might have been "The One Show", might not have been - never watch TV at this time of night.

They showed a clip of the presenter coming down what looked like the Cathedral Steps to the Gents Toilets.

Sorry for the sketchy info - did anyone else spot it a bit more accurately than I did.

i have just come across you site while doing some more research on underground manchester (google bot crawler)

i have visited 2 major Manchester underground sites, which are the 2 sites that were showed on the bbc

This site is the one located under the Great Norther Warehouse complex near the Hilton hotel, sadly the day i found the enterance i didnt have the correct camera gear in order to get good images (tripod and lighting)
