Upon visitin a well known website earlier last year i found to my amazement there were several places of interest underneath greater manchesters streets that we know of today.

Street level in manc is kind of high, seems to me anyways... lots of underground things going on there.

Inside out next Wednesday 21st January goes underground to see hidden Manchester

i knew there was a lot of tunnels in Manchester and stock port also maccisfield

I'll be suggesting a visit to the Stockport tunnels later in the year. Well worth a visit, but not exactly UE.

Caught the tail end of something on th TV either last night or the night before saying they were going to look at Underground Manchester.

I think it was for next week around the 6:30 news time, might have been "The One Show", might not have been - never watch TV at this time of night.

They showed a clip of the presenter coming down what looked like the Cathedral Steps to the Gents Toilets.

Sorry for the sketchy info - did anyone else spot it a bit more accurately than I did.

i have just come across you site while doing some more research on underground manchester (google bot crawler)

i have visited 2 major Manchester underground sites, which are the 2 sites that were showed on the bbc

this site is the one located near the Cathedral

This site is the one located under the Great Norther Warehouse complex near the Hilton hotel, sadly the day i found the enterance i didnt have the correct camera gear in order to get good images (tripod and lighting)
