get it sorted mate or you will have hgf on your case, you cant just keep topping it up with water, it will destroy the head gasket if you carry on driving it.

thanks very much for your all your help,i took it into a garage in moreton near where i work this morning(before i saw chris's kind offer) and the guy says that the pump is knackered.he not a mate but i sort of know him if ya know what i mean and he showed me exactly how to fit a new one, which bolts to undo etc, looks and sounds really easy. told me to fit new fan belts whilst i was doing it.formula 1 in moreton quoting £39 for a new pump, does that sound reasonable?

This test takes five minutes. Take the pipe off the thermostat-radiator, Take the thermostate off, Stick a hose in the pipe that goes in the radiator and turn it on, Start the car If the water comes out of the cavity that was the thermostat in a swirling pattern (like water going down the plug hole), your pump is OK.
