Although you have the Horse and Jockey in Arrowe Park Road, it was previously on the corner of Ford Road and Rake Lane (opposite the Eagle and Crown). ![[Linked Image]](https://www.images.wikiwirral.co.uk/forum/12626.jpg) Horse and Jockey Arrowe Park Road Indexed

In Ian Boumphreys' Yesterdays Birkenhead there is a picture of
the Horse and Jockey c1907 page 44before it was demolished to
be replaced by Arrowe Park Hotel
page 86 a picture of Horse and Jockey is seen in front of the
Arrowe Park Hotel

This looks like the Horse and Jockey that was opposite the Eagle and Crown in Upton Village on the corner of Rake Lane. The imprint of the roof can still be seen on the adjoining building.
