Hi guys i'm new, but i'm so intrigued by all of this (just read the entire thread, only took me about three hours lol!) i know it's all blocked up now with no way of gettin in but i will still really love to see the area for real so if anyone is plannin on venturin back there could you let me know as i'd love to tag along also, i found this site whilst googling for info about the monks ferry tunnels and the haymarket tunnels under birkenhead and hamilton square, can anyone direct me to a thread with any info on these?? Cheers guys!! Interested

Hi all, had a natter with my dad today about these tunnels and he seems to remember them and thinks he might know an alternative way into them, but i think it's one you've already mentioned, and he isn't even sure if it would be there now anyway cos this was donkey's years ago :s
When you come from St James Church along Hoylake Road as if headin towards B & Q theres a big field on the corner of Hoylake Road and Bidston Village Road. He said this used to be known as the Nanny Goat Mountains (don't know how true that is lol??) and there used to be an entrance to something here (they thought it was just caves) but he's wonderin if this could be somethin to do with the Tunnels underneath?? I'm wonderin if this is the entrance the nasty evil council men covered up or was that entrance on Boundary Road?? (i'm poo with directions lol sorry)

hoblyn road is off hoylake road tho right? and my google map shows it does lead to a foresty bit (obviously not where my dad was talkin about, must be where i get my rubbish sense of direction from lmao) tell me honestly, am i onto something new here or has this all been covered??? i'm really curious
