Hi, I'm a newbie here. Just want to thank you all for your posts and photos. I enjoy a bit of exploring myself, but tend to go alone when I'm back in Liverpool or Wirral. I was mooching around on Bidston Hill myself a few weeks ago, but didn't have time to do a full recce, as I had to take a load of shots of Liverpol's waterfront. I'll be keeping an eye on this amazing thread for updates. Nice one chaps. Thanks alot.

You would have thought photographs would have been taken whilst the tunnel was in construction of either inside or entrances or exits, certainly a construction of this nature even though not finished would have been recorded by the corporation for reference.

We asked the very same questions wink

And the reason there are none we have found is :

1) It was /is part of the Ministry of defense.
2) At the time of construction all photographers were out
taking pictures of bomb damaged houses?

(This was so joe smith couldn't put a false claim in for damage,
So pretty busy times to say the least.)

But i don't give up hope that there may be one out there
somewhere? (Your granddads Suitcase? )

Mark.

Haha sorry Mark yeah,I got my sister to take her laptop to my parents and i provided the scanner, my scanner is about 4 years old so Windows vista spat it out like a baby's dummy. Did have a look though thre case, majority was family photographs...admitidedly taken from the nearby area...how interesting to other poeple I don't know, my sister does have a scanner that does work with her pc but her and free time don't mix.
