HELP.Can any one help me install this router try as i might i cant seem to do it,so any advice or hands on help would be greatly appreciated.

What problems would one be having?

one of theses ?


is it the wireless side of things or the Internet?

thats it (pic above).i connect it up go through the set up process it say congrats you have successfuly configured and we will now connect you to the internet but it only gives me local conection no internet.tried renewing dns and ip but no joy..remove router and base comp conects straight to internet

im running on vista on a new dell inspiron 530

Is this running cable or DSL?

Which cable modem is it you are trying to connect to the router?

You can usually find the model number on a sticker underneath the cable modem.

Right First of all i need you to connect the PC your using to browse the internet to the router (at this point do not connect the net) when you have connected the Router to the computer load up Internet Explorer and type http://192.168.1.1 when connected to the router enter the username and password (if there is one) when the page is loaded look for Mac Clone it should be under Network.. It should look like:



Click MAC Clone once in this page click Clone MAC Address button.. at this point the router will ask you to reboot at this point plug your Internet Cable from the Modem into the Router and then proceed with the Reboot.. Once this has rebooted check the Internet in another Internet Browser i.e. Google for instance to check that it has worked.. If the following procedure has worked would you like me to connect Remotely to the router to make sure everything is set up for you as it should and set up Wireless so your neighbours do not connect to your router..

Heh no problemo, im sure Lee will sort this for ye, know's his stuff, I used to work with him in an IT centre maintaining their network, and boy was that a mess, very hard work to keep it running haha!
