Most of the buildings along Slatey road aren't there any more.
I was also looking for the police station that used to be there (got a pic from the 40's) and could not find any remains of it or any buildings next to it

The church in the background went many years ago - St Marks, it was on the corner of Slatey Road and Devonshire Road.
The photo is taken facing south (or physically up-hill)from about grange road west, the house on the left hand side of the road is still there.
