Oh great, got an email just telling me to send it to them to a certain address, and to pay for it to go via special delivery.

Not really too happy with that, they should have service centres where you can drop it off, its going to cost a tenner to send the bloody thing!!

Hopefully you will get it back pretty quick.
My last Fuji went on Monday and had it back Friday.

Well its under the repair or replace scheme. So if it comes back with a fault, or they replace it with another faulty unit, they will be paying the postage for me to send it back again.

I dont think they realise how much Special Delivery costs!!

Out of the Scheme it would cost you £70 for them just
to look at it then your delivery on top.

= Camera in the Bin frown

May as well get a new one lol

Why would I throw a camera in the bin that works lol?? Its only the memory card reading remember, the actual camera is fine, I can get a CF - XD adapter for my memory card reader if the worst comes to the worst hehe (or continue to use me printer, but its far too slow for long term use).

doh

Yeah, I know that, but if it was out of warranty, surely you wouldnt throw a cam away that worked fine except for the memory card reading, given that a memory card reader would do the same job?

That would be like throwing away a Ferrari just because the spare wheel was broke lol. Hmmm maybe im rating the 6500 too high comparing it with Ferrari's grin

£70 to look at it
£15 Delivery
£50 Estimated Repair

£135 In 1 year may as well think about a new camera
before you waste £135 on a repair.

Assuming its something with the action of the camera
and not just something you can live with.

That's all.

Lol, tis rather weird, its started being seen again without any problems by both the laptop and media centre.

Still gonna send it in though, they cant try n charge me n say they couldnt find a fault as it has a dodgy video sensor (small white dot on dark video's) so that will be at fault no matter what.

smile
