Ive actually just recieved an email via YouTube from a guy in Chester asking about the Bidston Tunnels.

The same as most people, didnt even know they existed!

Havent let on too much, other then its an ongoing project etc, and to visit here and sign up for more info and discussion, but im finding it amazing how much interest there is.

And to think that the council just want to close this off and pretend it never existed - the whole reason why people simply dont know about it!

Its a part of our history, it should be accounted for and made known to the local public!

wifes nan and g/dad have lived in tranmere and surrondin areas all their lives, so will ask them if they no anything...

Lol quality, good thinking though to bring that topic back to life, we could find out more info hehe.

yeah thats what i am hoping for, i would like the guy who did the plots on the map we used to re think them to be 100% sure.

When are you next going along to the tunnels cause i would like to show you all a spot near the Observatory which is intresting to say the least....

I think there may be a small party going tomorrow, not sure though.

No plans have been made, although it was briefly mentioned earlier on just before we departed...

Anyone interested in going tomorrow??

I had some photo's before, but unless I took them off when I was sorting the zoom topic for Waddi, they are gone now as I formatted the memory card (im getting used to formatting when I have dumped the photo's now as it can be a pain when its over 1GB of photos just dumping a few off it, it can take a while to read em all before its red the newest ones that i actually want lol).

I didnt do it on the laptop though, so I shall have a look in a bit.

Just reading this book and according to the map, there was an emergency exit on Brow Road...

Interesting, I don't believe we knew about this??

Oh and there is at least one other emergency exit, although the road name isnt listed and it appears to be near the main entrance on the map.

Im not sure if its the second entrance that is near the main entrance, the exit that is in the garden in the house on the hill, or maybe another exit that is by Vyner School or somewhere around there (the map suggests it should be around the corner to the left of the main entrance)...
