yep that crap tape player is going back in, it has a six disc cd changer hooked up to it so it will do for now. don't have money to spare for a decent unit.

like i said i'm not a big sounds guy, i don't see the point in rattling my teeth out, plus its excess weight.

a wee bit of progress, seat still hasn't arrived, did phone up p&l minis but i left it too late as the people at corbeau had already gone home!

painted the gear stick this weekend. after looking over my topic i saw the ugly tatty stick, so a bit of wet and dry, and some spray and vola! with the wet weather this weekend i thought i'd leave the car without its cover on, to source out any leaks, and alone behold i have one on the rear windscreen! there is just a smal gap where it seems to gush through! so i'll chuck some sealant on it soon.

the green wire has a flush type switch on the end. its the controls to the electro luminescent dials. one button changes the colour, about 5 different hues between green and blue, and the other controls the brightness of the dial.

i have a dashboard! bought the carbon fiber one from a mini parts supplier. the one they sell doesn't include the three holes above the radio, so i set straight away at cutting these out with the dremel. the 3-clock surround mounts seperately to the dash to enable you to fit it. 3 brackets, and six wing nuts later its in. also got the final switch for the switch panel which is also finished. only big thing i am still waiting on now is the passenger seat.

my other seat finnaly arrived! but not all was fine and dandy. it appeared that the subframe they sent me was the wrong type, as it was completely different compared to my other subframe looked almost universal. so a quick call later and it turns out this is the only subfrmae corbeau do now. it fits, but it just doesn't seem right. it will do for now, but i might see about getting a earlier one sometime in the future.

seat look tidy, I had the same in my punto, be carefull though with the plastic part which your harness feeds through as mine kept spliting into two and falling off. keep up with the good work.
