spent most of the weekend on my mates ps3 so only did a small bit of work. rebuilt the carb, started the car and already it sounds better than before. also decided to sort out the resistive wire that used to run on the 998. opened up the loom and traced the wire up to the fuse box. replace it with some approiate wire, which should now let my ignition see 12v!

a wee pic

these fiddly bits i should have done when i did it first time round! i don't mind doing them, its a piece of piss once you get your head round it.

like my car nude do you! tell you what having the front removable (or flip) makes working on it so much easier.

some new harnesses and a steering wheel has turned up at my house. passenger seat should be here next week. but for now this weekends work, put in one harness. also managed to link my new steeing wheel and boss to the center doobrie, which auto cancels the indicators.

cracked on with sorting out the carb on my engine, was running back on the b8es, trying to get a smoth idle on it. the only problem was in order to do this it had to be over fueling quite abit to hold idle! threw some bpr7es in, got it up to temperature. threw the colour tune into cylinder 1, and managed to get a nice blue light at around 1100. so i'm getting a decent burn on idle now! managed to take a small vid, and though i do get a few funny sounds from the exhaust it does run smoothly-ish.

i still had to sort and tidy some of the wiring on the inside of the car, this weekend. while i was there i was thinking of the lack of immediate storage space. some quick thinking and i managed to use something i would have scrapped. the old radio housing that was used to mount the radio under the dash, has now been turned into a convient moblie, cd or wallet holder.

i'll have some form of sound, using the standard radio in the above picture, and 2 speakers mounted in the rear. not really a huge sounds guy, its just excess weight.

the compartment is mounted onto some polycarbonate which is bolted to the lower dash.
