Decided against this now Firstly, Im on call for 2 weeks solid - starting next Monday. Secondly, I know the guys who rent the airfield in question, and its a very harsh surface, and there isnt much room so if more than 50 cars turn up I can see it being cramped, which also ties in with my 3rd point..... Somewhere like Santa pod where the event is properly organised is great, but who is orgainsing this "Race Wars" (Lol very fast and furious)?? My main worry is it could turn out with a similar situation to the one they had at Shotton Paper with MNR, where the organisation was poor and people where randomly racing round. I know the people on here are good, but its the chavs who think they can drive because they have been let lose on an airfield that bother me.

Good points stuy but don't be running away from it just yet, get the details from paz, every event cw have been too have gone well so we won't decide on it if we feel there'll be problems, this isn't a convoy yet. Let's hope everything is cool and we get to go. With sky tv and mag's there it seems an organised and legal event.
Great banter aswell peeps

Im on call anyways and wont be able to make it Pot holes no, but grass clumps at the ends and edges yes (if its the one Im thinking of) PAZ, for £10 per car check they have public liability insurance, if they dont, then everyone will have to sign a damage / injury disclaimer - if you dont, then its Illegal!!! There will be other times Scooby Ive done a few private airfield cars with the 200SX club, and we where all very shocked to find the cost at £50 per car - however, this was to cover the insurance.

Just an additional note, I could try and get an airfield for a day for just the Cruise Wirral peeps Similar, if not the same location, though someone else would have to sort out timing gear etc.
