I have a picture of an aunt, Lily Leay, which is probably from the 1930’s. In the background is a large glass house smaller in scale but of a similar style to Sefton Park. She lived all her life around the Tranmere area so I’m guessing it may have been located on the Wirral. Does anyone have any clues. Many thanks

I am fairly sure that is Kew Gardens Palm House central section.

Many thanks for spotting Kew Gardens. I’ve compared several images from Google and I’m certain it’s correct.

I can't see the photo but there used to be a glasshouse in Birkenhead Park. It was pulled down in around 1975 due to too much vandalism.

I remember it well. It did suffer some damage during the blitz.
