I used to have a classic map of where the bombs fell on Wallasey but it seems to have fallen into a black hole. I get some requests now and then on my wirral web site for this but have been unable to find it. I remember it was black and white, with streets marked and a, (I think), black dot where a bomb fell. Anybody got any ideas?

I believe meticulous records were kept of where bombs fell in the war. I would suggest you approach the Wirral Archives and ask them.

I think there's now an interactive map available:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-50056395

The Echo also has one:

If you're interested in WW2 defence locations, this interactive map is brilliant:

Not sure what the first link leads to but its not bombs, I can see barrage balloon sites but no bombs??? The second I am still checking. hopefully I can zoom in on it, because the 'blobs' are covering the map.

The BBC website says there is an interactive map but the link it takes you to doesn't allow you to view it.

You need to be an academic, student or librarian. frown

That sounds like you are looking at the defence map.
The Echo link has a working bomb map but I have noticed it doesn't cover all bombs landed.

There was one promising one, but you have to pay to join the site.
