Spotted a group of metal detectors working a field in central Wirral yesterday, I won't give the location away but I reckon it should be good for some Roman and maybe earlier finds (that doesn't really help guess the location).
Was it anyone from here?

go on give us a clue where was it The problem with that is the people who were there probably had permission off the farmer, if it goes public on the internet a load of 'tectors turn up without permission and wreck it for everyone.

Watched a couple of guys from a distance in a field near eastham and thought they were detecting. Met one of them a week later at the same place and they were actually moleing..
