What a damning statistic. 11 deaths in last 2 weeks alone. Mostly under 25 and not related. One poor lad got knifed to death returning from an anti knife rally.

Knife crime reached a four year high in the capital with 1,749 recorded stabbings of people aged under 25 in August 2016

Knife crime in London rose from 9,742 to 12,074 from 2015-16 to 2016-17, while knife crime with injury also rose from 3,663 to 4,415.

Watched a documentary about the gangs in London, mostly young lads talking such rot about anybody comes on their turf they get shot or knifed. I say watched I switched off after half-hour couldn't watch much more. They have no regard for human life and think they so big and important, very depressing and pointless. They all wore masks and talked all gangsta like. There were a couple of older gang members who had got through to get past that stupid age and they were trying to speak to the young bloods as they called them to try to calm them down but as they said it's got out if hand now. It's getting as bad in Liverpool , were are they getting the guns from ? Horrible times..

Remembering a film I saw a few years ago, but not the title. It was gruesome and scary how anarchy had taken hold and there seemed there was no one in control of anything. People doing whatever , like demonised maniacs .

Horrible, but unfortunately, some things seem to be progressing in that direction and will continue to do so unless there are serious punishments or something to neutralise it all.

This will continue while cautions and warnings are the only punishment given for carrying a knife, many of the young cite they carry one for self defence, what utter rubbish, it should be a mandatory two years if caught in possession of a knife.

There appears to be growing numbers of gangs of young kids , boys and girls roaming around of a night intent on causing mayhem, mostly ignored by the police, not because they wilfully do so, its because they haven't the numbers to deal effectively with it, left unchecked mayhem turns into something more serious with the offenders believing that they have immunity to do as they please.

A mandatory 5 years would be better, that way they would have to serve a decent amount of time.

So far no one has mentioned the death penalty to be re-introduced.

Personally, I don't think that would be the way to go, but many do.

Alternatively......castration for any murder committed ??

Ha ! Yep, could do. Not many would volunteer for either of those, and as it has been said many times, committing a crime is a voluntary act.

Another fatal stabbing in London. 20 year old leaving a cinema with his girlfriend. Two (b**tard) teenagers charged with his murder.....

The victim is the 14th person to be stabbed to death on the streets of the capital in the past four weeks.

Was in London only last week, ate in Chinatown Piccadilly, walked a mile across the city then to hotel about 10.30 p.m.
Never felt safer, same again Saturday evening, we were in Knightsbridge. I was with my kids, 2 of them in there 20's and 1 who is 7. Not sure now, knowing the above statistics would I have done it.
