A huge gas explosion in New Ferry up the road from me last night at 9.15. Whole house shook. No known deaths but many severely injured. Major road diversions so please keep away and let the emergency services deal with everything without gawkers.It is on BBC and Sky news and facebook. Whole row of shops being demolished opposite Griffiths Butchers. The explosion concentrated on the Dance Studio above furniture shop, Connexions Building and Co-op funeral services. Devasting for all and thoughts with the many injured people.

Welcome dogwalker. Nasty do wasnt it . Think it will take a fair while to sort it out. Fortunate I suppose that it was at a time the dance school wasnt having a class.
