I don't want to jinx here, but it's a gold in the omnium Her fiancee, Kenny is fav for the Kieran and we have James and Marchant in the sprint It's looking good for 3 golds tonight I hope I haven't jinxed it

According to TIME, Michael Phelps could leave Rio owing up to $55,000 in income taxes.
That's because the U.S. Olympic Committee awards prize money to Olympic athletes who medal at the Games – $25,000 for gold, $15,000 for silver and $10,000 for bronze.
These awards, like other prize money (from a lottery jackpot to a Nobel Prize to game show winnings) is taxable income in the eyes of the IRS.
This so-called "victory tax" varies depending on each athlete's tax bracket. Top earners like Phelps (who is estimated to have a net worth between $50 and $55 million, according to CNBC), will owe $9,900 on each gold medal, while athletes without the star swimmer's lucrative endorsement deals will end up owing far less
Lower-earning athletes can also reduce the amount they owe in taxes by deducting training and traveling expenses. The athletes' medals themselves are also taxed, but given that the metal used in a gold medal is worth $564, these taxes are negligible, according to CNN.

Is it all over yet ? Getting tired of listening to sports commentators almost having orgasms over gb performances. Would love to hear golf commentator peter alliss commentating on the long and triple jump ...am sure he would comment about them getting sand where it shouldnt be. now the footy season again....agh!

It was a cracker granny Its a shame the track cycling has finished  my favourite part of the olympics Ah well Hey fish, they have fly fishing competing in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 for the 1st time

Watched the Brownlee brother. Incredible ! 1hr 45 mins, non stop. It exhausted me just watching it. What a duo !
