James Street station - Water Street entrance/exit.
The Water Street entrance/exit to James Street station will be closed for improvement works from Monday 16 February until mid-April 2015. The rest of the station will remain open and trains won’t be affected. Please use the main James Street entrance to buy tickets and reach the platforms.
Also -
Bebington station From Monday 16 February through to mid-March 2015, the subway between the two platforms at Bebington station will be closed for refurbishment. Access to Liverpool bound trains will be via the Old Chester Road entrance while access to Chester and Ellesmere Port trains will be via the car park.
From Merseytravel site.
Perhaps a last opportunity for some photo's?

Remember this well from when I worked in India Buildings back in the 80's: finish work at 5pm, down in the lift, into the subway and leg it right down to the platform in 4" stilletoes, briefly pausing to flash my Zone Ticket to the man in the kiosk, just making the 5.05 Hooton Train.
If I tried to do that now, I'd keel over (oh, to be a young whippersnapper again!).
