Well, got it back last week. Needs an mot but it needs some work to get it through, including new headlamp units and an axle seal. Got a new back door available but can't pick it up until the new year, then that'll need spraying (it's black at the mo!). Then it'll be back out cruising. Before the arches go on there's a few desperate off roading mods to be done to stop it from being killed again! All going well I *should* be able to bring it to the cnw comeback cruise!

Geez! Just got it back after having the 4th, yes, FOURTH engine fitted! Stuck with the 1.7D again, last one had some serious internal probs. This one had been sitting for a while but once it was started sounded sweet and doesn't smoke either Next mod is an under-bonnet one, will post a pic when it's done. Should be sweet. Other mods are to be some more (desperate) off roading bits and the arches. Still need to get it through the MOT before I can bring it out though!

This came through the post today: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05march/cruisewirral07018.jpg) It's a chrome o/s motorbike wing mirror, gonna attach it to the top of the o/s front wing, then I'll legally be allowed to drive it on the roads with the doors off! I've also still got these arches to go on which have now arrived through snail mail from the usa: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05march/cruisewirral07019.jpg) And there's that under-bonnet mod too, but before all these go on I *need* to sort out a snorkel so I don't kill this engine too!!

Didn't know that, Some thing everyday. At least with the arches on, no one will knock the mirror off ? Looking good jim, and seeing her up close at the Rolling Road she's bigger than ever. Post your BHP Graph, and RR pic in this topic Jim I have more pics to send you too

Lol cheers webby. Here she is at the rolling road day: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05march/cruisewirraljimbo4x4.gif) Achieved 63.63bhp at the flywheel, not bad considering the engine only has 59 as standard. The only mod to the engine at the time was the induction cone, it's had a straight-through exhaust too but it failed the mot for being too loud Never mind, gonna make the main box removeable coz it's taking precious ground clearance away anyway, just swap them back for mot time The standard 1.3 petrol engine has 64bhp so it's nice to know I've retained the power with the diesel conversion, just wish I knew how much increase in torque there was!

Well, wing mirror's on now, looks great without the doors!
It was in Peninsular 4x4 last week getting the loud exhaust back on, Martin's done a great job of making the two boxes interchangable. Now have a quiet one for road use and shows, and a loud one for the extra power off road. Pity I couldn't have the loud one on for the rolling road day!

Sorry, meant to say the loud one would be going on for shows, sounds awesome (I've had people asking me if I'd fitted a V8 to it ). It definately gives more of a kick with the straight through exhaust, shame I've gotta change them at all.

Lol, my bro's been messing about: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05may/cruisewirral11036.jpg) He fitted the new rear tube the other day too, fresh from POR fabrication: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.cruisewirral.com/gallery/uploads/01/05may/cruisewirral11038.jpg) Just need to move the towbar up onto it and remove the old mounting. Also sorted out a square rear number plate and fitted it and the light to the back door. Next is the wide arches (or so I keep telling myself), also in the pipeline are some buckets and a roll cage. Will have to wait until after the nationals though due to lack of funds
