will get some pictures up this weekend. i ain't slacking just haven't got money to buy anything, plus i may be getting my engine soon so i will have to save up for that!

here you go then. finnaly got my boot back after i sent it back to the bodyshop as the edges had started to bubble.think its been 6-7 weeks, i wasn't in a rush but come on its only a small boot! flattened it with 1200 wet and dry, compound polished it with g3 and the a quick spin over with autoglym super resin polish and its 90% done.





also been waiting on a 38mm deep socket so i could take out my main/input shaft. so here it is! all 4 gears and both sincros! for those who want to know it goes first to fourth from left to right. will strip this down to check the bearings.



here is the almost empty box, you can see the 2 selector forks and mechnisms there. they will be coming out and will be checked. just need to fit this big bugger into my bag so i can take it into work and give it a clean on the parts washer.

bought a push button start, looks like the honda one



stripped the main shaft, just need to get second and third off so i can check the bearings. from top left to right 4th gear with the bearing, the 4 bualk rings, the main shaft with 2nd and 3rd still on, the smallest cog is the output to the diff, then theres first gear, then a transfer gear, then the 2 syncromeshes (the one with the teeth is for 1st 2nd and reverse) and finally the sellector shaft



finished and painted the bottom coilover mount

much appreciated, even going back a year to when i first got the car i still can't believe what i've done. hopefully stage one of this car should be ready for next summer. thats right i've got 2 stages for this car, the first one its staying true to a mini that it can be, subframes (sort of), engine, chassis (apart from the coilovers)etc. i'll drive it around, enjoy it for a year or two then it goes back away for something more sinister.

Back to the old skool. I like it!

more random buying! got myself a carb to run my invisible engine on. for those who are wondering its a dellorto dhla 40, puzzled? its similar to the weber dcoe 40, also came with an inlet manifold which has seen some porting, but i will do abit more!

haven't been here in a while! don't worry the car still exists. cheers webby and scoop. in my opinion i don't think it is worth putting my car up as no one has seen it in person yet! (plus its a little late now!) next year i should have some good competition with the hotrod and the other mini so we shall see.

haven't really done much to be honest, have decieded to chuck my poor 1970's stlye switches in favor of some savage ones. just got 1 at the mo but gives you the idea. also got my gearbox sparkling on the parts washer at work, but when i came to get the rebuild kit the had sold out!

at the moment my project is going slow (trying to find an engine as i can't do much else to the car) but i will keep you posted if anything happens!

also did lend some seats off a mate to see whether they fit, but they are far too wide so i shall be giving them back to him

agrre with alot of the comments their was alot of talk between member over yours and lund mini, keep up the gud work very nice. What bhp do you think it will be giving out when finished??

ta peeps. only going to be running a wee power plant for now, aiming for around 100hp, with either a 1380 na a-series engine, or a 1293 turbo lump. still trying to decide!

100bhp in a mini is still a big power to weight ratio
